Attorney Omar A. Cooper founded Village Counsel Law Firm to give Georgians facing criminal charges something they rarely get: a lawyer who answers the phone, explains the process, and keeps them informed at every step.

Before practicing law, Attorney Cooper served as a First Lieutenant and logistics officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, including service in Okinawa, Japan. That background shapes how he runs every case: prepared, organized, and responsive.

He earned his J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where he took part in Street Law and the Chicago Youth Program and completed a full-time externship with the Georgia Justice Project, assisting people at the Metro Reentry Facility. He earned his B.A. in History from UCLA as a Wasserman Scholar, recognized for dedication to community service.
